Today I get to pick up my beautiful dress I had made for me and catch up with a gorgeous lady I used to work with when I was just a teenager.......many years ago. We worked out that we hadn't seen each other for 25 years.....so I am quite excited.
We started the day leisurely with a Skype to my dad for fathers day and a late breakfast. If you remember yesterday everyone else hit the grog except for moi! So I was feeling very chipper this morning ..... the others were feeling a bit slow but didn't take long for them to pick up.
Skyping mum and dad for fathers day.
We caught the ferry from D Bay to Hong Kong and then another ferry to Kowloon to the tailors to pick up my dress. I don't have a pic of it yet finished but I got it made specially to wear in Paris.....weather permitting....and Italy and Greece. So you'll get to see it eventually. The tailors wouldn't let us go without giving us another beer but because we were short on time and had to catch up with my friend we drank the rest of the beer on the run through the streets of Kowloon.
Tony having a beer on the ferry to Hong Kong.
Yukkk! The smog!
A small patch of blue sky peeps through.
Needless to say, my catchup with my friend Margie was just wonderful. She has lived in Hong Kong for five years now and now has 3 boys. Margie, Tony and I used to work together about 30 years ago so we had a lot to catch up on....and we vowed we wouldn't leave it for another 25 years till we caught up again.
My friend Margie, Tony and myself.
With my new dress in hand we then headed back over to Hong Kong and went up to Victoria Peak and the view was stunning. If there wasn't any smog it would have been so much better! But it was worth it.
Tony having another beer on the ferry on the way home.....its even got a lid on it so that he doesn't spill anything. Hey, it's fathers day.
Tomorrow is our last day in Hong Kong....
