Florence - day 17 - Relaxation

A bit of R & R has been very much enjoyed and needed today. Also much needed washing was done as we didn't know where we would be able to do it next.....and as the hotel had a laundry room we did a load of washing.

We headed out this afternoon for some last minute gift shopping at the San Lorenzo market but we only got half way there and the heavens opened for the first time since Paris. But only tourists and the dedicated shoppers were out this afternoon......hahaha! I was both. Tony is so wonderful, he held the umbrella as I shopped. What a sweetie! Tony also took the opportunity to take some arty photos. You'd think we hadn't seen rain before!

Tony did his own bit of shopping at his favourite shop....the 99 cent shop!

We treated ourselves to a cappuccino and walked back to a beautiful restaurant near our apartment for some vino rosso, gnocchi and cabonara.....absolutely yummy! I'm a big fan of gnocchi.

Tomorrow we pick up our car for our trip through Tuscany. I hope I can keep up with the blogs but not sure if our wi fi thingy will work!
